Toney decided to have surgery on his elbow prior to the UMKC game. Apparently he didn’t feel comfortable playing with the injury and couldn’t contribute to the team like he wanted to. I’m hoping he can use a medical redshirt this season and still have 3 years left to play.

Bret: Anybody know where Toney McCray is? He wasn’t at the Creighton game and was not around for game lastnight versus Chicago State. Strange. The doctors had advised that his elbow could not get any worse. The four or five practices I attended this year prior to his season ending, he looked fine other than his rear end being chewed by Doc every other minute. Hmmm.
